Dear Friends,
I am grateful for the opportunity to share the 2020 Annual Report with you. Your ongoing commitment to Water Mission and the Lord’s blessings enabled us to serve more people in 2020 than ever before with best-in-class safe water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) solutions.
Water Mission has always emphasized technical excellence and collaborative partnerships. You will see the impact of these priorities in the following report. In alignment with our core values of love, excellence, and integrity, we worked with corporate partners, field partners, ministry partners, and other nonprofits to respond quickly to the COVID-19 crisis. At the same time, we continued to set standards for technical innovation and deliver safe water solutions to communities around the world.
Yet, the global water crisis continues to be enormous and urgent, and there is still a need to scale up and reach more people. With that in mind, I am both humbled and excited to tell you that we have created a new organization: the Global Water Center. This organization has been an integral component of our strategy since Water Mission was founded 20 years ago. It aims to end the global water crisis by increasing the number of people and organizations around the world engaged in bringing safe water to those in need. The Global Water Center will enable them to work effectively by providing training, equipment, and support services.
None of these exciting activities and accomplishments would have been possible without your partnership and encouragement. As we celebrate the work of the past year, serving nearly 1.6 million people, we recognize the need is still great. We remain committed to continue serving people in need throughout the world. Thank you again for joining us in this journey of purpose.
God bless you,
George C. Greene III, PE, PhD
