Ten of John Albright's mathematical inventions, which have become standard methods for solving certain types of problems, were cited in the new edition of NIST Handbook of Mathematical Functions, along with two of his papers. The book serves as the basic international reference volume in applied mathematics. A joint project of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (formerly the National Bureau of Standards) and Cambridge University Press, this edition represents the handbook's first complete revision in some forty years.

John Albright is Carol Albright's husband.
