Molly was one of the dearest persons I have ever known. Her engaging smile would melt one's heart. She was caring, loving, joyous, and an incredible witness to her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. To be with Molly was such a privilege for she made one feel as if he or she was the most important person in the world. She drew us all into her commitment to Water Mission. It was a joy to be around her and life is not nor will it ever be the same without her. But she loved her Lord and served him mightily. I know she is looking down and rejoicing with all of us who loved her. Well done, good and faithful servant...….you are now in the joyous presence of our Lord and all is well! Marilyn and I love you.

Molly was an incredible servant of God! She reflected the joy of Jesus and had so much passion for sharing this joy she had in Christ with others. She has an enduring legacy of being a servant leader and caring for others well. She will be dearly missed on Earth but I know is worshipping Jesus at this moment in heaven. What a legacy she and George have shown us, to give generously of our time and resources so that the Lord may be glorified through us.

I will forever cherish the memory of Molly Greene. Her beautiful smile, laughing eyes and joy for life showed in all she did. When you were in Molly's presence, you felt her total attention was directed to you. Her generosity of resources, talents and spirit left the world a better place. I'm grateful to have known very special lady.

Molly and George had a huge impact on our lives over decades of years. Molly was, on Earth, and is, in Heaven, the most Christ-like person we have ever known. She was always focused on, and attentive entirely on, any person with whom she was talking or working. She was such a graceful woman who gave everything of herself. We can proudly say that she and George are the reason we are Christians today. Water Mission was born from George and Molly's passion and dedication to serve God through the provision of clean, fresh water to millions of people in need of it. God certainly blessed them with the talent and leadership to successfully establish and succeed with this ministry. Molly and George will always remain in our prayers.

Every time I saw Molly she remembered my contribution to Water Missions and heartily thanked me for my volunteering. I last saw her at the SC Environmental Conference in Myrtle Beach probably in 2017. She and George made an inspiring presentation on all the good things that WMI is doing. Molly was the most gracious, caring person I have ever met. We are all blessed to have known her. Bob Britts

I remember the first time I had a conversation with Molly one on one. She sat by me at a function at Water Mission and started encouraging me about on of my children. She was so kind and I understood then why she was loved by many people. I had other enjoyable times with Molly but that particular one stands out in my mind.

Molly, in my first experience of her, was a mom. An inspiring, bright, woman who I first met as a 7 year old summer camper when her daughter and I shared a bunk bed at St. Christopher. She made sure we met, connected and we were ready for our very first overnight camp session on our own. Later- on the other end of my growing up, now a mom...I encountered "Jenni's mom" again -mom to mom in the crowd at the Walk for Water, in the park with the artesian well on Calhoun and Rutledge. Molly spoke to me as if I had grown up seeing her everyday. Like I was one of her daughter's best friends. (We are friends; though, only seeing one another rarely -children grow up but moms do not.) Molly showed me the significant power of being herself and that this, in and of itself, is world changing and difference making. The last time we spoke was in the conference room of the new headquarters in Noisette after a meeting of educators coming together to write a "Water Engineering" Curriculum for children. Now an energetic grandmother and executive in a world wide mission, Molly once again saw -me- and encouraged and inspired our team's work. From where I stood, she was not fearful of difficult challenges or ambitious vision, and she did not have to be anything other than a child of God to see it accomplished. She truly expected miracles! Women with this quiet, daring faith are so important on our planet and I am so grateful that God let me have a few special moments in her care and community of encouragement. Thank you Molly. May I grow up to be like you.

My heartfelt condolences and prayers go out to George and the whole family. Molly was a special and inspiring friend, a woman who loved the Lord, and a person who had the sweetest personality that was loved by everyone she met. My favorite story is from a lunch she and I shared over ten years ago where she shared a copy of the book “Half-time”. Wonderful book about moving, with God’s guidance, from “success” to “significance”, and has been a story I’ve been able to pass along to many others since she shared it with me.. I am blessed to have had the opportunity to know Molly last year when I visited Water MIssion in Charleston. I am thankful for her inspiration and I will remember her as a role model for pouring her heart out for service, bringing hope and love to everyone she met.
Ms. Molly was a ray of hope and a beam of light in this world. Now she rests in heavenly peace and eternal glory. She will be our guardian angel and source of encouragement as we proceed on with life. The legacy she began will continue to change lives and shed light on many.

SIX WEEKS WITH MOLLY
My heart aches until now. It was very hard to accept that she’s no more but the reality kept coming. I sent her emails/Messages but I did not get a single respond. What’s going on? Is this a sign of confirmation that she’s no more? “Sure Tarloh” an unknown Voice said. Tears won’t stop rolling my cheeks until now. Every time I have a flashback of my stay in the U.S, I only imagine her (Molly F. Greene). Recycling the moment of joy and sorrow we had together. My six weeks memory with her and the Greene’s family was an act of true Love and care that I will never forget.
Her desire to help and save humanity went beyond clean/save drinking water. She knew me from nowhere but treated me like her own. I was losing my vision (Sight) when Molly and her husband came to my rescue through the grace of God. Picking me up from the Airport in Charleston to their home at Edge water park, I could feel the sensation of Love in the atmosphere.
She showed me what true hospitality is. She made me felt at home and opened her house to me. Driving me around Charleston from one doctor appointment to another every other day were some of the best moments I experienced with her. I spent 90% of my time in the U.S with her meaning she took me with her almost everywhere she went. My everyday with her was full of laughter and positive energy. She sat at the hospital waiting for hours while Dr. Boatwright and his team tested/checked me. Sometimes she sat right by my side saying encouraging and comforting words. I can remember when she said “Tarloh’ trust the Lord for healing and he will in due season”. Despite your eye’s conditions are critical, my family will continue to pray and support you (yes, they continue to). She would hug me and rub my back like a baby when the pain was too much for me to handle (only a true mother would do and indeed you were). Her concern for my health was more then what I showed for myself.

She was so concern and worried about my health (Sight) to an extend she cried with me when Dr. Boatwright explained how complicated and terrible my eyes conditions were.
Molly act of kindness went beyond everything mentioned above. The life changing advices she give me has been impacting my life greatly. The many new things she allowed me to adventure into at Water Mission has already began taking effect a year ago. Some of the many questions that she answered everywhere we went is now making sense to me. Many nights at the dining table, Molly and George III would patiently answer my endless questions. She wasn’t just a mother and grandmother to her flesh and blood but also a mother figure in my life. She prayed for me, she encouraged me, she challenged me, she supported me in every way possible and this for which I will always remain grateful to she and her husband. The support of Molly and her husband (George III) is the reason I am abroad (China) studying today.
She always told me to “PUT GOD FIRST” and this is an advice I have adhered to. The joy and laughter I experienced with her family is an experience that can never be forgotten. Her death broke the hearts of many and kept many wonderings. My mother did not meet Her in person, but wept severely when I told her that Molly was dead. Her legacy and impacts will live on. Her name shall live in my family DNA. I have been praying to God to give me a daughter that carries Molly’s attributes and personalities once I start having children. I personally believe that she wasn’t an ordinary human but rather an Angel on EARTH. Her soft and inspiring words brought comfort to many. I wish I have had the chance to spend another six weeks with her again before she died. But until we meet again, I do believe that she is face to face with the lord and the angels of heaven are celebrating her return to heaven.
‘When the worst happens; finding God’s purpose Admits the pain’. Those words of yours brought comfort to my soul .

I met Molly (and George) virtually on a video call when I was interviewing for a leadership position with Water MIssion. The interview occurred the week before Molly's accident. The interview was memorable to me as we spent quite a bit of time sharing deeply about our lives, families, passions and desire to serve God. George closed the interview by asking Molly to pray. As she did, it was obvious that she was a prayer warrior and was seeking God's will and direction for my life as well as the "life" of Water Mission. I was shocked to hear of her passing but join with many others in rejoicing that we will see her again someday.

As a volunteer my role is relatively insignificant compared to many Water Mission people. Yet every time she saw me, Molly would go out of her way to greet me, hug me and make me feel special. In those moments, you felt heartily appreciated and valuable to her and the whole Water Mission family. The warmth she could convey as a regular occurrence was extraordinary. Molly was truly a gift to us all on this earth!

I only recently learned of Molly's Passing and although I did not know her personally, I feel comfortable saying that I know the world is a better place for her having been a part of it. Through others, I feel that I did know her to some extent, and through those same people I have learned that she worked tirelessly for the benefit of others, those that were less fortunate than she and many others.
She will be greatly missed by those who benefited from the work that she had committed her life to and many family members and friends as well.

I have only been an employee for GEL SOLUTIONS for ninety days but clearly remember walking into the home office in Charleston, SC and seeing the many plaques and displays for WATER MISSION. As a Christian, I was pleased to see the company I was going to be working for had it's roots with quality people that were ministry minded. I regret that I did not take the time to meet Molly or her husband during my orientation with GEL SOLUTIONS, but wanted to relay my condolences to the family. Thank you, Molly, for all you did for GEL and all you did for WATER MISSION!

I am one of the millions of people around the world positively impacted by Molly. I had just begun volunteering with Water Missions in early 2010 after the earthquake in Haiti, when one day Molly was guiding some visitors around their facilities. She was surprised to see me there, and came over to see if I might join her at lunch that day. At lunch she asked if I would consider going to Haiti to help Water Missions recovery efforts there. Honored to be asked, I accepted her offer and a few days later was on my way to Port-au-Prince. My time there was a life-changing experience I can never forget, and for which I will be eternally grateful.
Molly & George have been inspirational people in my life. Their faith, their dedication and determination, and their selfless commitment to those suffering around the world serve as a shining example to all.
Blessings to all the Greene family in their time of loss & sadness,

George and Family,
My prayers, thoughts and sympathies are with you. Molly was a treasure for you and everyone she came in contact with. She brought joy by her presence and her caring heart.
My times with Molly and you were few - the pheasant hunt in South Dakota, a reception at Steve and Julie's house, a Water Walk in St. Paul. My memories of you both are very fond. She loved Jesus, you and life. She loved well. Hers was a life well lived.
May the Lord give you peace and restore your joy. I am sure Molly is praying for the same things for you.
I hope our lives will intersect again in the future.
God bless you.

I was heartbroken to hear of Molly's passing. I met her when I interviewed for a job at Water Missions. Molly wanted to know more than whether or not I was the right fit for the job and the organization; she wanted to know me! She was so incredibly kind and caring. When I called her to tell her that I thought the Lord was calling me to stay where I was, she prayed with me and encouraged me even though I was disappointing her with the news.
As the Greene family--and her beloved husband in particular--grieve her passing, I pray they are comforted in knowing how mightily God used Molly in the lives of people all over the world.... People like me. I look forward to meeting Molly again and telling her that.

I did not actually know Molly Greene in person. My husband and I are members of Fort Hill Presbyterian Church in Clemson, SC. As members we helped support our local walks for Water Mission. We are friends of the late John and Cathy Spragins and often heard how amazing and wonderfully caring the Greene's were from the Spragins'. We were also at John's memorial service at our church and had the privilege of hearing Molly speak there. We send our deepest condolences and many prayers to and for the family. And we will certainly continue to support Water Mission.

We have such sweet memories of Molly, which are consistent with the character of Christ. She was always gentle, kind, and genuinely interested in our lives as well as others. Her smile was infectious and her manner warm. She was also lots of fun. We remember the year she brought James to our Christmas party. He was outfitted in his African clothing and was quite a hit.
We will miss her terribly and pray that her family can cling onto the promises of Jesus during these very difficult times. Our God is faithful and they will see Molly once again.

I spent only a short time of my life with Molly, but I have thought back on the days she and George so graciously hosted me in their home many times since. I was preparing to spend a month in Honduras evaluating a potential water treatment solution in the field, and I stayed with them while learning more about the technology in Charleston. What sticks in my mind the most after almost a decade was Molly's joy -- inexhaustible, never-held-back, abiding joy. It was clear to me that Molly's joy came from her complete security in her relationship with Christ. And she had deep satisfaction from wholeheartedly pursuing His purpose for her; she was doing what she was created to do, and she knew it.
This was a woman who believed that God was great enough to use her to touch people all over the world, and He did! What a testimony for us all. I praised God for her then, and I praise God for her now, and I will continue to praise God for her for the rest of my life. I wish I had had a chance to visit with her again on this earth -- I often thought about how I could -- but I know that I will see her again one day. And I can't wait to see her joy grow even greater when she sees her Savior's face and hears His beautiful words for her: Well done, good and faithful servant.

George III and George IV,
I just want to again say how sorry and heartbroken I feel. I only knew Molly for eight months, but can easily say she was one of the most remarkable women I have ever met. She didn't express herself with pride or depend on glamour and show but with sincere, humble, consistent, and convicted love. She was magnetic, lovable, charming, loving, classy, and her demeanor naturally garnered respect. It was a true privilege to know her and work, serve, pray alongside her.
Death continues to be the last enemy and will play that role until Jesus returns. But although it remains the last enemy, it does not have the last word. My prayer is that as you grieve freely and well, the Lord will surprise you and your family with signs of his grace and the assurance of his promises.
We hold on with you to the hope that death is not the way things will one day be—one day soon even death will be swallowed up by life. May the Lord of life be your comfort and strength both in this moment and forever. With love, John

I have been a volunteer at Water Mission since 2005 and can attest to the fact that the organization is full of highly skilled and dedicated men and women, both staff and volunteers.
Not to lessen anyone's contributions, I think all would agree that from the beginning co-founder Molly Greene has been the heart and soul of the ministry at Water Mission.
She was a wonderful Christian with a heart for those suffering around the world, a ray of sunshine, a daily blessing and an inspiration to all.
She will be sorely missed.

As a relatively new volunteer to the production team at WM I witnessed first hand the impact that Molly made to organization. She was a constant positive presence, making time for everyone. She often joined our briefing meetings to update the production volunteers on status and plans for Water Missions, patiently answering questions and sharing her enthusiasm and optimism. Molly will be missed by all but we should be comforted by the firm belief that she is now sharing God's glory in paradise.

To George, Little George, and Jenni, I have and will always have a tremendous amount of respect and admiration for Molly and the Greene Family. She was never judgemental, always supportive, and genuinely a loving person. I'd like to leave a little funny memory I have of Molly after leaving General Engineering in the early 2000s.
I wasn't a big to-do at GEL and still a kid, but she remembered me, I guess, because I was close to Jenni's age. After I left GEL, I saw her at J.C. Penny's and I said hello. We got into a conversation and the only thing I remember of it was she was really frustrated with Jenni, because she was "sneaking down to Charleston to see 'Toad the Wet Sprocket'". She looked at me in confusion as if to say, 'What is a Sprocket' and all I could think was, "Mrs. Greene, it's Toad the Wet Sprocket!?!"

Molly was a woman who truly walked out her faith. During my six years on staff at Water Mission, we spent countless hours planning, laughing, praying, and crying. She and George have been like surrogate parents to me over the last 10 years, and her passing has created a void that will not soon be filled. My heart and prayers go out to the Greene and Gardner families. Molly will be deeply missed by so many around the world, but her legacy will live on and she will continue to inspire us for generations to come. I praise God for her life and how deeply she loved His people.

I was shocked and saddened to learn of Molly's untimely passing. It was a privilege to know Molly, and her loss will be deeply felt by all who knew her. She was a shining example for all of us to try to follow.
The fact that staff at Water Mission starts each day with a group prayer impressed me - emphasizing their reliance on God to help them reach their goals to provide water to the needy in many countries. Molly never took any credit for Water Mission's successes, but directed all credit to God.
In all my 89 years, I have never met anyone with so many warm and loving qualities. Molly's enthusiasm was contagious! Despite her many commitments and demands on her time, she always made time to call me, be concerned about my health, and encourage me with prayer. I know she was a special friend to many others too. I was able to visit Water Mission headquarters last January and was overwhelmed by the warm and loving reception they gave me. Molly was such a dear friend to me, and though I will miss her greatly, let us all celebrate her life!
